Hara Yannas Biography

Hara Yannas was born and raised in London, though her family are originally from Greece. Hara (the Greek word for 'joy') is actually pronounced 'Hurrah' as in 'Hip, Hip…'.
Having developed a passion for performing at an early age, Hara appeared in many school plays and musicals, and went on to become a member of both the National Youth Music Theatre and the Young Pleasance Theatre Company. She was also a member of the Young Place Dance Company for two years.
She continued her training at Middlesex University on their "BAPA" (BA Performing Arts) course, specialising in Drama, and most recently, completed the one year Post Graduate Musical Theatre course at the Royal Academy of Music in London, graduating with Distinction.
Hara's work has taken her all over Europe and also to prestigious London venues such as the Royal Opera House, the Palace Theatre, the Lyceum Theatre and the Royal Albert Hall.
